AEW Stars Tried To Beat Up WWE Employee

The AAA Tag-Team Champions Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, together known as FTR (formerly known as The Revival) had a stint in WWE prior to moving to AEW. The duo recently recalled a time when they expressed displeasure on a WWE producer. FTR returned to Greensboro for AEW Holiday Bash where they teamed up with MJF to face CM Punk, Darby Allin & Sting. Being back at the Greensboro Coliseum brought back an old memory for the duo when they were so upset that they waited around for a WWE producer, wanting to kick him very badly. Jim Cornette was previously disgusted with a match featuring FTR.

FTR recalls the incident

Speaking on Elite POV, the duo recalled the incident when asked who loses his temper quicker.

“We were in Greensboro and I walked by this area and I remember, ‘Oh, this is the room where a producer in WWE said something to Cash’ and he got so mad and he came to me and was like, ‘I’m going to fight this guy.’ I said, ‘Alright, let’s do it.’ We both waited and when we got done filming, we were going to beat the shit out of him. He kept filming forever and we were like, ‘Ah, whatever,’” said Dax.

Cash said:

We waited for like 30 minutes. I was determined.”

Dax said they sat and stared at him the whole time and that the producer knew what was coming. Cash finished by saying:

He was purposely trying to stay as busy as possible. He knew I was going to kill him.”

FTR did not name the producer in question, but he escaped without incident.

On the January 31, 2020 episode of SmackDown, The Revival’s final match in WWE was when they lost to John Morrison and The Miz in a fatal four-way tag team match also involving Heavy Machinery (Otis and Tucker) and Lucha House Party, in a match where the winner would earn a Smackdown Tag Team Championship match at Super ShowDown. In April, The Revival were granted their releases from WWE, fifteen months after their request in January 2019.
