The Chicago Sky are looking for their third-straight win as they try to solidify their playoff position. In addition, a win against the Seattle Storm would hand the Sky a season sweep of the defending champs. The Storm welcome the Sky on Sunday at 6 p.m. ET.
The Sky beat the Storm on Friday, 73-69. They are one of the league’s formidable road teams with a record of 9-4. The Sky held the Storm to 14 points in the final period en route to victory. A 10th road win would make the Sky the second team in the WNBA to earn double-digit victories away from home.
The Sky tied the Storm in the paint 42-42 in their last meeting, despite trailing for large portions of the game. Kahleah Copper scored a season-high 26 points in the win after scoring 19 points in the first meeting. Copper is likely to be a scoring threat once again.
One area to clean up for the Sky is turnovers. Chicago committed 18 turnovers in the win, but that is certainly an unsustainable winning formula. Their defense was up to the task however, as they limited the Storm to just 17 points off of those turnovers.
This version of the Seattle Storm is nearing unprecedented territory as they have not lost three consecutive games since 2019. However, the Storm have hit a bit of a slump, having lost four of their last six games. Seattle’s offensive execution in its last game was quite poor; it shot 36.8 percent from the field and was of 3-of-17 from beyond the arc.
While Breanna Stewart scored 18 points, she was 4-of-13 from the field and failed to make a 3-point shot for just the second time this season. The Storm had a turnover problem of their own in their loss with 17. The strength of the Storm’s defense kept them in the game but going forward they will need to figure it out offensively.

Key to the matchup: Kahleah Copper has been very good against the Storm this season and will probably put up another strong performance in this one. The Sky will need another strong performance in the paint as well. For the Storm, offensive execution with high percentage shots will be the key. With any luck for Seattle, their long-range shooting will improve.
