Covid-19 and Brexit have turned traditional chalet holidays upside down this season says Ski France. Therefore, the company has come up with a new concept – contactless catered chalets.
Ski France has more than 50 contactless catered chalets across the French Alps located in top resorts such as Val d’Isère, Tignes, Méribel, Courchevel, La Tania, La Plagne and Alpe d’Huez.
The chalets have been divided into two groups, Classic and Premium, and both will provide local produce and various ingredients for breakfast, afternoon tea / snack, a three-course dinner and drinks each day.
Guests will arrive at their Ski France chalet and find delicious food in the fridge, cool beer and chilled wine ready to drink, firewood neatly stacked, and beds beautifully made. There will be a selection of fresh ingredients to cook with, easy recipes to follow or if you prefer dishes prepared by a local delicatessen.
Skis and snowboards can be reserved at local hire shops, and lift passes can be pre-booked. During a week’s holiday, when guests are out enjoying the slopes, a chalet crew will clean the accommodation, replace towels and re-stock the fridge and cupboards. They will also be on call whenever needed, but there will be no contact unless requested.
Ski France has selected some of its favourites to help skiers and snowboarders decide which is best for their needs.

Just 200 metres from the piste and lift, guests can leave their equipment in the boot room, before relaxing in the spacious living room or in the bubbling hot tub. Kids can let off any excess steam by building a snowman and then watching their favourite film on the television.
For ski-drivers, there is a parking space in front of the chalet. Ski France has three other chalets situated on the same road, making it an option for large groups. Plus, Chalet Elliot West is joined to Chalet Elliot East by a connecting door, which can be unlocked for larger groups wanting to spend their holiday together.
