Tell us about the idea of your free program.
Anna Shcherbakova: The story of The Master and Margarita. At first, I feel the evil force coming, touches, sounds in my head. This is how the first half of the program goes. Then Woland’s Ball – I really like this part. Here I need to show a strong change in emotions and mood …
As Daniil Markovich said, good wins in this program. This shows the third part of the program, which starts with a step sequence. And here I need to change the artistic image again, the style of skating. In this program, I need to focus on the idea and, in general, on the artistic image.
How many jokes were there about Annushka spilling oil?
Anna Shcherbakova: In the process of working on the program – not so much. But I have already looked in social networks, a lot of people have written about it. So – yes, there are such jokes (laughs).
Have you considered any other artistic images?
Anna Shcherbakova: No, we immediately had this approach. Daniil Markovich saw me like that. I read the book, now in the process. As soon as the work on the program began, naturally, I decided to fully immerse myself in the artistic image. And I would really like to bring this program to such a state as I feel it.
If the artistic image in the program changes so often, have you thought about using the trick with the transformer dress again?
Anna Shcherbakova: I had enough of that experience, frankly speaking, I would not want to ever return to this (laughs). At that time it was appropriate, but now it is enough. I think this is not necessary, and I want to show the artistic images not by changing the dress, but by changing the mood and style.
Was the transformer dress change stressful?
Anna Shcherbakova: There were a lot of problems during training with this dress. Probably good that we tried hard then and did it. But it was enough for me.
