Spain and Italy faced off in a friendly match in Madrid this evening. The two teams finished the three-day joint preparations with this game.
The Spaniards closed the year with a victory in a flood of goals – 20:16.

Italy arrived in Spain with a team which is a mix of experienced and young players. There were no Pro Recco’s players on Italy’s roster. Spain played without Felipe Perrone.
The teams didn’t care much about defense. Spain started better and led for most of the time. Italy equalized twice in the second period (6:6, 8:8), but Spain had a 14:12 advantage before the final period. Midway through the fourth quarter, Spain scored three goals in a row to jump from 16:14 to 19:14. Italy couldn’t come back.
