Dozens of youngsters are set to take part in the first water polo Inter-Regional Championships in almost two years later this month.
Ten teams will be in action at the Walsall Gala Baths in the U16s boys’ competition on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November.
London, West Midlands, South West Sharks, North West Tigers and South East are all competing in Division One.
East, Wales, North East Steelers, East Midlands and Scotland Saltires make up the Division Two teams.
London are currently the defending U16s boys champions having won the title in 2019, with no competition taking place last year due to the coronavirus lockdowns.
The divisions are based on the last time this age group competed – the U14s Inter-Regional Championships in 2019.
Joanne Mountfield, competition organiser, said: “We’re delighted to be able to host the Inter-Regional Championships once again.
“It promises to be a fantastic competition and we’re looking forward to seeing some excellent polo being played across the weekend.”
The U16s girls’ Inter-Regional Championships is scheduled to take place on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 December and full details will be published in due course.
