Women’s tennis wins two of three doubles matches at Amherst

Hamilton College players won two out of three doubles matches but the Continentals dropped a 7-2 decision against Amherst College in NESCAC play at Amherst Tennis Courts on Saturday.

Hamilton was playing its first conference match since the spring of 2019 and took to the courts for the first time since a dual match at Rochester Institute of Technology last March 8 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Continentals are back in action at home on Sunday, April 11 against Middlebury.

Audrey Chor ’21 and Lauren Holtzman ’23 edged their opponents 8-6 at first flight doubles. Chor picked up her 24th career doubles win and Holtzman is 9-1 in doubles play.

Sophia Aulicino ’21 and Ajla Karabegovic ’21 posted an 8-4 triumph at second flight doubles. Karabegovic leads all Hamilton players with 27 career doubles wins and Aulicino registered her 20th.
