Stan Wawrinka is recovering after undergoing what he called “a small procedure” on his left foot.
The three-time Grand Slam champion posted this image of his foot in an apparent soft cast on social media.

The 35-year-old Wawrinka said he’s recovering from the procedure and hopes to resume practicing in a few weeks.

“After having some problems in my left foot for a while, I have decided to do a small procedure on it,” Wawrinka posted alongside an emoji of a foot and a knife. “Everything went well. I will be out for a few weeks but can’t wait to start practicing again soon.”
The former world No. 3 has been limited to six matches this season.
