The Red Raiders doubles teams came out of the gate at a blistering pace with Parker Wynn and Franco Ribero, defeating the number one doubles team of the Toreros 6-1, and Dimitrios Azoidis and Ilgiz Valiev following suit, at number two slot, with the same scoring outcome.
Valiev continued his dominant play for the Red Raiders, defeating Nico Borter 6-4, 6-3. Sophomore Reed Collier and junior Dimitrios Azoidis were able to contribute two more points and secure the win for Tech winning 6-3, 6-4 and 7-6, 6-3, respectively.
“I’m really happy with where we are as a team right now.” said head coach Danny Whitehead. “We are playing well, with room for improvement. The guys have competed well to earn where we are right now as compared to how our season started. We are looking forward to more and stronger tests coming our way.”
