HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana women’s tennis team will close out a four-match road swing this week, hitting the road for a pair of Southland Conference matches.
On Friday, SLU (3-7, 1-3 Southland) takes on Northwestern State (2-3, 1-3 Southland) at 1 p.m. in Natchitoches, Louisiana. The Lions close out the trip with a 1 p.m. match on Sunday at Central Arkansas (7-8, 2-1 Southland).
Putri Insani has won her last two singles matches – both in league play – to improve her team-best singles record to 5-3. Flory Bierma is second on the team with three singles wins this spring.
In doubles play, the SLU pairs of Bierma and Annemart Kleijn, Insani and Polina Sleptsova and Katya Cornejo and Ariadna Perez have combined for a 6-4 doubles mark in Southland Conference play.
Judit Castillo and Viktorie Wojcikova each hold a team-best 3-2 singles record for Northwestern State. In doubles play, Emilija Dancetovic and Dorota Szczygielska are a perfect 4-0 this spring on the No. 3 doubles court.
Central Arkansas is led in singles play by the duo of Yada Vasupongchai (11-2) and Fuka Nonoyama (11-3). Nonoyama and Chunxi Xin are a team-best 9-2 at the top of the doubles draw.

Following this week’s action, SLU will take a break from Southland Conference play, hosting Omaha on Thursday, March 18 at 5 p.m. at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
