Six Moroccan Players Suspended Amid Corruption Investigation

Six Moroccan tennis players have been provisionally suspended amid an ongoing corruption investigation.

The six suspended players are: Amine Ahouda, Anas Chakrouni, Ayoub Chakrouni, Mohamed Zakaria Khalil, Soufiane El Mesbahi and Yassir Kilani.

All six are prohibited “from competing in or attending any sanctioned tennis events organized by the governing bodies of the sport, with immediate effect while charges are considered against them for alleged breaches of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP),” the International Tennis Integrity Agency announced.


The provisional suspensions come the same day the ITIA confirmed it is investigating two Wimbledon matches betting firms reported for suspicious betting activities.
