Mountain West Tennis Players of the Week – March 3

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State’s Dalia Ahmed has been named MW Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, while UNLV’s Milos Dabic is the MW Men’s Tennis Player of the Week. This is the first career weekly honor for Ahmed and Dabic.
 
WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK

DALIA AHMED, FRESNO STATE

Junior, Cairo, Egypt / McNeese State

  • Combined for a 3-0 week in a pair of road matches at San Francisco and at Pacific.
  • In singles action, tallied a 2-0 mark while competing at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles positions.
  • Competing at the top singles position against San Francisco, won in straight sets (6-3, 6-0) before closing the weekend with a three-set victory against Pacific’s Zoe Eberle.
  • In doubles play, partnered with Deniza Marcinkevica and beat Pacific’s top doubles duo of Klara Kosan and Maya Lopez (6-1)
  • Recorded two of the team’s four points in a 4-3 road win at Pacific on Feb. 26.

MEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MILOS DABIC, UNLV

Sophomore, Belgrade, Serbia

  • Recorded an undefeated week for UNLV, with a perfect 2-0 mark against Pepperdine on Feb. 26.
  • Teamed with Jordan Sauer at No. 3 doubles to down Pietro Fellin and Daniel DeJonge, 6-4, to help the Rebels earn the doubles point over the Waves.
  • In singles, upset 90th-ranked Corrado Summaria, 7-6, 6-2, on court three to earn UNLV’s lone singles point.
