Conway, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men’s tennis team will return to action this week for a match against regional opponent Charlotte on Sunday, March 7.
Fans will be allowed.
Health and safety protocols for attendance will remain in place to include, but not limited to:
- Face coverings WILL BE required.
- Maintain physical and social distancing at all times.
- NO congregating between individuals or groups outside of your affiliated party.
- NO interaction with student-athletes and coaches at any time.
Coastal Carolina University and the Department of Athletics is committed to providing a safe environment for the enjoyment of our patrons that attend our home intercollegiate athletic events. Individuals that disregard health and safety protocols may be asked to leave.
The Chanticleers enter the contest with a 1-1 overall record. The Chants are coming off of a 4-3 thrilling win against Kennesaw State at home on Feb.21.
Senior Bastien Huon leads the Chants with a 2-0 singles record and is on a four-matching winning streak dating back to last year at Campbell, while seniors Daiki Tanable and Gonzalo Achondo each have one singles win apiece.
Charlotte enters the meeting with a 6-5 record on the year after blanking UNCG 6-1 on Feb. 26.
Coastal and Charlotte have met three times in men’s tennis action. The Chants hold a 3-0 advantage against the 49ers.
