Men’s Tennis Heads to Knoxville to Face No. 5 Tennessee

Baton Rouge—The No. 40 LSU men’s tennis team goes on the road to Knoxville to face No. 5 Tennessee on Friday, April 9, at the Goodfriend Tennis Center at 1:30 p.m. CT.

LSU sits at 11-9 on the season and 3-6 in conference play. The Tigers went 1-1 last week, defeating Auburn, 4-2, but falling to No. 6 Texas A&M, 7-0.

No. 5 Tennessee has a 19-3 record on the season and they’re 8-2 in SEC play. They have 11 ranked wins with two top-5 wins over No. 3 TCU and No. 5 Texas. The Vols have five ranked singles players with No. 12 Johannus Monday leading the way. Adam Walton isn’t far behind at No. 19. No. 50 Martim Prata, No. 93 Giles Hussey, and No. 96 Pat Harper round out the pack. The Vols also have three pairs in the ranks, with No. 3 duo Adam Walton and Pat Harper leading the way. No. 54 Johannus Monday and Martim Parta and No. 67 Andrew Rogers and Mark Wallner are the other two.
