Men’s tennis defeated by UAB

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — UAB swept the singles matches in defeating the Bellarmine University men’s tennis team 6-1 on Saturday.

Bellarmine (3-11) did win the doubles point against UAB (3-5) after freshman Paul Reynolds and senior Ian Deiters captured a 6-4 victory over Thanos Spyropoulos and Giovani Pasini at No. 2, and freshmen Emil B. Berglund and Eli Franks knocked off Vojtech Podzemny and Daniel Janko 6-2 at No. 3.

Bellarmine plays Sunday morning at Samford.
