Alex de Minaur is emerging as a threat to make a run at Wimbledon, while at the same time proving that he’s got a keen sense of balance.

Watch as the Aussie, who has now won six of seven grass court matches in 2021, walks tennis’ version of a tightrope and manages to stay in this point against South Korea’s Soon Woo Kwon at Eastbourne, without touching the net.

De Minaur, who is seeded 15th at Wimbledon and will face Sebastian Korda in the first round, made a remarkable recovery against Kwon to track down his lob, then finished the point off with a volley into the open court.

The 22-year-old Aussie locked down a 6-3, 7-6(2) victory and will face Italy’s Lorenzo Sonego for the title.

Sonego defeated Max Purcell 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 to reach the final on Friday in Eastbourne.

Neither De Minaur nor Sonego has ever claimed a title on grass before.
