Cass girls tennis takes down Rome

The Cass girls tennis team won a pair of hard-fought doubles matches to earn a 4-1 victory Monday at Rome.

On Line 1 doubles, Payton Tatusko and Sydney Coppola battled to a three-set victory. The duo won the first set, 7-5. They dropped the second by a 6-2 score but took the third by an identical scoreline.

Meanwhile, Carli Rediger and Allison White emerged victorious on Line 2, winning both sets by 6-4 scores.

In singles action, the Surcey sisters barely broke a sweat in easing to victory. Senior Emily didn’t drop a game on Line 1, while freshman Christina cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 triumph.

The Colonels fell to the Wolves by a 5-0 final in boys action.
