Boys tennis roundup: Litchfield sweeps Fairmont – West Central Tribune

LITCHFIELD — Litchfield won each point in straight sets to beat Fairmont on Friday.

The Dragons won five of their matches 6-0, 6-0.

Litchfield will host a triangular with Montevideo and Sartell at 12:30 p.m. Monday.

New London-Spicer’s Jack Barney went 2-0 to win the No. 2 singles bracket at the West Central Conference Tournament at Minnewaska High School in Glenwood.

Tate Newman placed second for the Wildcats at No. 4 singles. Kenneth Schmiesing (1 singles), Andres Rojas (4 singles) both finished in third place in their respective brackets. And all three of NLS’ doubles teams finished in third place.

Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd had five fourth-place finishes: Jack Buer (1 singles); Luke Stock (4 singles); and all three of the team’s doubles squads.
