COLUMBIA — The Helias Crusaders dropped an 8-1 decision Monday to the Hickman Kewpies in Central Missouri Activities Conference action.
Helias’ lone win came in doubles where Justin Francka and Ethan Foucheaux teamed to post an 8-5 victory. In other doubles matches, Andrew Dowden and Caleb Mueller lost 2-8, while Matt Schepers and Jacob Zerr fell 8-9 (3-7 tiebreaker).
Losing in singles were Francka (1-6, 1-6), Dowden (3-6, 1-6), Foucheaux (3-6, 1-6), Muller (2-6, 6-1, 4-10 match tiebreaker), Schepers (2-6, 4-6) and Zerr (4-6, 2-6).
Helias (0-2 overall, 0-2 CMAC) is scheduled to host Rock Bridge in conference action today at the Crusader Athletic Complex.
The Crusaders won one of five JV doubles matches Monday.
