TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – After two weeks on the road, the Alabama women’s tennis team returns to Tuscaloosa and the Alabama Tennis Stadium for a pair of Southeastern Conference matches this weekend.
The Crimson Tide faces Ole Miss Thursday at 1 p.m., and Mississippi State Saturday at 1 p.m. While the three teams saw each other during the fall in tournament competition, the last time Alabama faced either team from the Magnolia State was in 2019 after the 2020 dual match season came to an early end due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Tide split with the two teams in 2019, falling at Ole Miss, 4-2, and downing the Bulldogs in Starkville, 4-2.
“We’re looking forward to being back home this weekend and playing in front of our Alabama fans. We’ve been so close in our last few matches with opportunities to make that breakthrough. I’m excited to see what our team can do tomorrow with Ole Miss and Saturday with Mississippi State.”
