World Table Tennis Championships Women’s Singles Draw and Results

The draw for the top 16 seeds for the women’s singles event in the World Table Tennis Championships is posted below. Please note that the draw below is NOT the round of 16, as all the players below must win the preliminary rounds first. The full preliminary draw can be found here. The women’s singles draw is far more balanced in favor of China compared to the men’s singles draw, as China can conceivably sweep the semi-finals positions. The most precarious semi-final spot for China would be Wang Yidi‘s spot, as she needs to advance past Japan’s Hina Hayata and Mima Ito. Wang has a 3-2 record against Ito but lost their most recent match-up 4-3 at the 2020 ITTF Grant Tour finals. If Ito is able to maintain her seeding, she faces a potential Olympic rematch with Sun Yingsha in the semi-finals.

The men’s singles draw can be found here.
