Swimming and Diving Rounds Out Competition at UNH

The Central Connecticut women’s swimming and diving team finished the second day of competition at New Hampshire on Saturday. The Wildcats outscored the Blue Devils, 236-117, in the dual meet.

  • 200 Yard Medley Relay – The Blue Devils’ relay of junior Hallie Perrin, Alex Lindgren, Jeannette King and freshman Ashley Calderon led a trio of CCSU relays in the days first event. The Central ‘A’ relay finished in 1:50.81 to earn two points.
  • 400 Yard IM – Freshman Morgan O’Hara placed second with a time of 4:40.79 , while classmate Marley Milne finished in 5:01.44.
  • 100 Yard Free – King was narrowly edged out for the win, clocking in at 53.87 to place second. Sophomore Shannon Welcome finished with a time of 54.27 and Perrin swam in 56.88 to round out the CCSU contingent.
  • 200 Yard Back – Freshman Nathalie Pena led a trio of CCSU swimmers with a time of 2:12.09. She was followed by Calderon (2:14.85) and junior Kaylin McMahon (2:21.12).
  • 1-Meter Diving – Freshman Zoe Baker scored 199.20 to place third, while classmate Elyse Boothroyd had 179.77 to score for CCSU.
  • 100 Yard Fly – Calderon placed third in 58.16, while freshman Cassidy Stotler scored with a time of 59.30.
  • 500 Yard Fee – Junior Katie Czulewicz placed second in 5:15.18, as the Blue Devils finished 2-3-4 in the event. Welcome was just behind in 5:15.93, while freshman Abbey Keane clocked in at 5:17.39.
  • 200 Yard Breast- Lindgren paced the Central swimmers with a time of 2:23.90. Junior Mariana Espino scored with a time of 2:33.15, while sophomore Abbby Bacon clocked in at 2:36.01.
  • 400 Yard Free Relay – The Blue Devils finished 2-3 in the final event of the weekend. The relay of Czulewicz, Welcome, King and junior Simona Visinski finished in 3:39.93. The ‘B’ relay of Perrin, Cassidy Stotler, Kelly Stotler and O’Hara finished in 3:43.44.


The Blue Devils will be back in the pool on Dec. 3-5 when they host the Blue Devil Invite at the Jack Suydam Natatorium.
