Swimming and Diving Earn CSCAA Academic Honor

The Central Connecticut State University women’s swimming & diving team has been selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America as a Scholar All-America Team it was announced Tuesday. The Blue Devils posted a cumlative team GPA of 3.01 to earn the honor. In total, 728 teams from 450 colleges and universities earned the honor.

Greg Earhart, CSCAA Executive Director highlighted Central Connecticut’s achievements noting, “Coach Ball has done a tremendous job. These 23 women are some of the best ambassadors that Central Connecticut and the Northeast Conference could ask for.” 

Central was recognized with the CSCAA academic award for the 39th consecutive semester. The Blue Devils travel to Southern Connecticut on Friday before hosting Rhode Island on Saturday.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation’s first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
