Central Connecticut State University dropped both of its Friday games to Louisiana Tech and UL Lafayette. The Blue Devils tied things up with Louisiana Tech in the top of the sixth in game one, but the Bulldogs scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to steal the win.

KEY MOMENTS
- Neither offense was able to string together much through the early goings of game one. The Bulldogs got a bit of instant offense in the bottom of the third with a leadoff triple that was brought home on a single later in the third.
- CCSU was still hitless heading into the top of the sixth inning. Jazmin Lasane was able to get on base after a strikeout, and was sent home after Paige Stringer cleared the base path with a two-run homer.
- The Blue Devils were lined up to secure their first win, but a dropped fly got a Bulldog on in the bottom of the seventh. The Bulldogs sent a double down to left center to walk it off with an upset win.
NOTES
- The homerun was Stringer’s first of the season and fourth for the Blue Devils this year.

KEY MOMENTS
- UL Lafayette’s Kendra Lamb struck out the side to start the game off. The Ragin’ Cajuns went on to load up the bases in the bottom of the first, walked in two runs and scored three more before the Blue Devils ended things with a strikeout.
- CCSU had another three up, three down second inning before UL Lafayette piled on even further. Seven runs on seven hits proved to be the final punch from UL Lafayette through the bottom of the second.
- The Blue Devils were ultimately no hit, while UL Lafayette’s second inning socring run was the last hit for them as well.
