State of Play
With three rounds completed, the top 15 ranked players have now confirmed their places in London, with Anthony McGill the latest to cement his position following a deciding frame victory against Zhou Yuelong on Tuesday afternoon.
Defeat for Zhou means that he remains in 16th position provisionally and therefore the final player who could still be overtaken should other results not go his way over the final five days at the Barbican.
Zhou Yuelong will qualify unless:
- David Gilbert or Zhao Xintong reaches the final
- Jordan Brown, Matt Selt, Luca Brecel, Noppon Saengkham, Ben Woollaston, Hossein Vafaei, Anthony Hamilton, Andy Hicks or Peter Lines wins the title
Both Gilbert and Zhao are in the second half of the draw and therefore on course to meet in the semi-finals, while the remaining nine players are split with five in the top half and four in the lower half.
