Ospreys fly-half Stephen Myler has signed a one-year contract extension at Ospreys.
Myler was Head coach Toby Booth’s first player signing in 2020 and has agreed a deal to stay for a third season at the Swansea.com Stadium.
Myler’s new deal will take him into his illustrious 20th season as a professional rugby player.
He joins an illustrious group of players such as Brad Thorn, Peter Stringer and Donncha O’Callaghan, who have all played professionally for over two decades.
Myler made his Superleague debut in 2003 and switched to rugby union in 2006, playing both a league and union season in one year.
The fly-half has played 26 games for Ospreys, kicking 39 conversions and 48 penalties. His 222 points for the region has taken his career tally to an astonishing 3,131 points.
He won the Gilbert Golden Boot award in his first season with the Ospreys for his 86.05 percent success rate from the kicking tee during the 2020/21 campaign.
Stephen Myler told the club website: “This was an easy decision because I am happy here and feel like I am making a contribution. I’m still healthy and motivated.
“Being able to make a contribution, have an impact and have the trust of the coaches has been important to me.
“I’m looking forward to continuing my part in the Ospreys’ journey, building on what we’ve put in place, and seeing where this group can go.”
