RETURN OF SPECTATORS TO RUGBY MATCHES

An exciting rugby bonanza awaits rugby enthusiasts and the best part is that we can welcome supporters back in Toyota stadium!

Regulations, as directed by the Department of Co-Operative Governance and “SA Rugby’s Guidelines for the Return of Spectators to Sporting Events”, stipulates that only 2 000 supporters are permitted in the stadium.

All spectators will need the following to enter the stadium on match-day at Toyota Stadium:  

  1. Valid ticket
  2. Vaccination certificate
  3. Your ID document or driver’s license
  4. A Mask

 It is also important to note and adhere to the following:

  • No consumption of alcohol will be allowed at the stadium
  • Social distancing needs to be adhered to
  • Spectators are to be seated in their allocated seats
  • Spectators are to enter the relevant gates for entry and parking
  • Spectators are encouraged to arrive early.  Gates open 1 hour before kick-off. 
  • Spectators are to wear their masks at all time
  • Not to attend the game if you feel unwell, is ill or sick or have any Covid-symptoms.

VACCINATION

All spectators wishing to attend the event are required to be fully vaccinated.  (You are fully vaccinated either 14 days after receiving the J&J COVID-19 vaccine or 14 days after receiving the second Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine).

SEASON TICKET AND SUITE HOLDERS

Free State Rugby call on Season Ticket and Suite Holders to contact the ticket office in Toyota Stadium (Suite Holders contact Wilna) to collect their tickets before Friday, 5 November.   

To collect your ticket and tickets for your friends or guests, you need to present the following:

  • A Covid-19 vaccination certificate (the downloaded certificate with a QR code, not the ticket you receive at the vaccination point) and a copy of an ID document will have to be presented for every guest with the collection of tickets. If for example, you collect tickets for 12 guests, you have to present copies of 12 x ID documents and 12 x vaccination certificates.
  • To apply social distancing regulations, only the lower level of the main stand will be open for spectators and Free State Rugby cannot guarantee season ticket holders their original seats.  Guests in suites must maintain social distancing of at least one and a half meters.
  • To limit exposure to COVID-19 every person attending must:
  • Wear a mask at all times, adhere to all health protocols, maintain a distance of at least one and a half meters and adhere to the curfew hours.

TICKETS SALES

Tickets sales open on Monday, 8 November at 12:00. 

For every ticket purchased, a valid vaccination certificate (either digital or a printed one) and valid ID must be presented.

MATCHDAY PROCEDURES

  • Spectators are urged to come early.  Gates open 1 hour before kick-off and will close 1 hour after the final whistle.
  • Spectators can access Toyota Stadium from Kingsway or Att Horak avenue to park inside the stadium. 
  • There will be one access point with four checkpoints where supporters will be required to present a valid vaccination certificate, ID, rugby ticket and wear a mask.
  • Supporters without any of the required documents or masks will not be permitted to enter the Stadium. 
  • Ushers will guide spectators to their reserved seats.
