Manu Tuilagi makes transfer decision following ‘significant’ interest overseas

Manu Tuilagi is ready to commit to making the 2023 World Cup by signing another contract extension at Sale Sharks, according to the Mail Online.

The 30-year-old centre, who has once again been linked with moves overseas, is set to take up an option to extend his stay in Manchester for one more season.

He was injured in the autumn internationals when he went off after scoring against South Africa in what was only his third game for England since March 2020 because of injuries.

Nevertheless, Sale boss Alex Sanderson believes the powerhouse will be fit and ready for the Six Nations before the end of the month.

He said: “We have talked about him for the Leicester game before the Six Nations [on January 30].

“That is obviously a big game for him, but we’re hoping to get him back a week or two before that.”
