Leinster Rugby | Tallaght RFC seek new women’s head coach

Tallaght RFC wishes to invite applications for a new head coach to lead the development of the club’s senior women’s team.

Founded in 2002, Tallaght RFC is a rugby club based in the heart of south Dublin. They are a small local club, with great ambition and have a great connection to their local community.

The successful candidate will be an integral member of the club’s rugby management team and will be required to play a significant role in the delivery of short, medium and longer-term rugby goals.

Reporting to the club Director of Rugby, they will be responsible for coaching Tallaght’s senior women’s team, currently competing in Leinster Division 5.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver a programme that ensures that the team can execute a coherent and appropriate gameplan through the season
  • Attend and supervise all training sessions and games for the women’s team
  • Develop and encourage a positive culture
  • Conduct regular reviews with Director of Rugby and work closely with the clubs Women’s Development Officer to encourage and promote women’s rugby in the community.

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will have an accredited coaching qualification or, if not, will be in the process of obtaining such a qualification
  • Strong leadership and communication skills are essential

All applications will be treated in strictest confidence. The initial term is for the 2022/23 season with a review at the end of the season.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on July 31.

The club will conduct an interview process with a view to have the selected candidate appointed and in place by early August.
