Matthew Cullen, Senior Vice President of Interactive at Parx Interactive
Beginning with Play Gun Lake‘s online casino bettors in Michigan, users of Parx Casino technology will soon have a single platform for deposits and withdrawals in three states. Payment platform provider Paysafe announced today that Parx plans to use its technology in New Jersey and Pennsylvania next.
Matthew Cullen, senior vice president of interactive at Parx Interactive, commented in today’s Paysafe announcement:
“Offering Paysafe’s top payments product through an integration with the Playtech platform will strengthen our offering in Michigan and result in a great user experience, to which we are highly committed. These partnerships are key for Parx Interactive’s national success, and we couldn’t be more excited to roll out this partnership with Paysafe so close to the time we also launch our sports betting product.”
As it is in Michigan, Parx powers the Gun Lake Betslip app on which retail sportsbook users can arrange their wagers. Bettors can then scan the QR codes at the land-based casino’s retail counter in Wayland.
Play Gun Lake bettors don’t have to travel to Wayland and can just place online wagers within Michigan. In June, so many of them did so that the app powered by Parx generated $585,200 in gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the state. That app saw the biggest GGR increase in Michigan that month – at 15.5% more than its May total of $506,450. Only two other Michigan online casino operators saw their GGR rise in June.
Parx using Paysafe may make online casino deposits, withdrawals easier
Parx Online Casino is performing far better in its home state of Pennsylvania than it is in other markets. The company’s retail property is in Bensalem, a suburb north of Philadelphia.
However, Michigan will see the first phase of the Paysafe partnership, followed by New Jersey. That’s because Paysafe has already established itself in those two states, while eyeing an expansion into Pennsylvania.
Play Gun Lake now offers Paysafe’s traditional (credit/debit card processing) and alternative payment methods (Skrill digital wallet, paysafecard eCash solution, third-party, etc.).
Paysafe’s announcement detailed withdrawal options:
“Payouts can be transferred into [bettors’] bank accounts using their Skrill account, where funds are transferred in real time, or via ACH.”
Paysafe also partners with Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG) in Michigan and New Jersey. Golden Nugget was also one of the three online casino operators to be in positive GGR territory during June, with a 13.1% month-over-month increase. That online casino began offering Paysafe tech on June 3.
Paysafe noted that a major reason its payment platform works so well is its partnership Playtech, using that company’s Information Management Solution (IMS) platform. Playtech’s gambling technology is in wide use in the industry. Scientific Games Corporation announced on July 19 it had signed a mutual distribution agreement with Playtech.
Playtech COO Shimon Akad said of his company’s agreement with Scientific Games:
“A key pillar of our strategy is to increase the distribution of our software through mutually beneficial partnerships with the leading B2B suppliers in the leading markets.”
