The Blackhawks get another crack at the Florida Panthers on Monday night, looking to avenge a dropped result on Saturday night in South Florida.

Chicago bookended the scoring with Brandon Hagel‘s opening goal in the second period and Adam Boqvist‘s late tally in the third, but fell to Florida on Saturday evening, 4-2, on the back of four straight goals from the home side. Aleksander Barkov (2G, 1A) led the Panthers in scoring and Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 30 shots in the team’s second straight come-from-behind win. 

SECOND TIME AROUND

Under the NHL’s scheduling format this season, the Blackhawks have played the same opponent in consecutive games 13 times. In the second game against the same opponent this season, Chicago is 10-1-2 and have victories in nine straight, including Thursday’s win in Dallas.

Pius Suter is second among rookies and Philipp Kurashev shares third among rookie goal scoring leaders during the 2020-21 campaign. Suter shares fourth with 13 points and Kurashev shares ninth with 10 points. Hagel’s seven assists this season share seventh among league rookies.
