Flyers Keep Rolling Against Penguins
Claude Giroux and the Flyers will be looking for a fourth consecutive victory when they take on Sidney Crosby and the Penguins in the Battle of Pennsylvania on Tuesday. After getting destroyed 7-3 by the Bruins at Lake Tahoe, the Flyers have bounced back with three impressive victories against the Rangers and Sabres (2).

The Flyers are playing their best hockey of the season and currently own the best points percentage in the East Division (.694). A big reason for their resurgence is the return of two-way stud Sean Couturier, who is riding a six-game point streak (3G, 5A) since returning from injury. The Flyers could also get another top player back in the lineup as Travis Konecny was removed from the NHL’s protocol list Sunday and will rejoin the team in Pittsburgh.

The Penguins could see some betting action in this game considering limited fans are now being allowed in PPG Paints Arena. It likely won’t play a major role on the outcome, as Philly has beaten Pittsburgh in five of the last seven meetings, including an OT road victory in a packed arena.
A key reason to consider a Flyers moneyline wager is the fact Pens goalie Tristan Jarry owns a dreadful .871 save percentage in seven games against Philadelphia. Carter Hart, a Vezina contender, thrives in these rivalry games and owns a .931 save percentage all-time against the Penguins.

Islanders vs Devils Will Be Defensive Battle
The ‘under’ has the chance of hitting for the sixth time in seven meetings between the New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils on Tuesday. New Jersey is listed as +118 underdogs as they aim to put an end to a six-game home losing streak at the Prudential Center. The slumping Devils have lost five of their last six games overall and are coming off consecutive defeats at the hands of the Capitals.

The Islanders have won three of their past five games and are one of the best defensive teams in the NHL. They’re currently allowing the third-fewest amount of goals in the league and the fifth-fewest amount of goals. Part of that is due to goaltending, as Semyon Varlamov owns a stellar .924 save percentage, while youngster Ilya Sorokin is catching fire with back-to-back shutouts.
The Devils have scored more than three goals just once in seven games dating back to mid-February. They’re going to be hard-pressed to break that slump facing a defense that doesn’t give up much, especially considering Nico Hischier is injured. The Isles aren’t one of the league’s top offensive teams themselves, however, and will be facing one of the top goalies in Mackenzie Blackwood (.920 SV%). Given the lack of goal scoring from both teams of late, the “under” is a smart play.
