NFL free agency is off and running this week as teams make big moves in the market to get the 2021 offseason off and rolling. Despite some lean years in the NFL Draft as of late, Tennessee still has a strong presence in the NFL with around three dozen players on rosters at the conclusion of the 2020 season, and a handful of former Vols already have been active during the first couple days of free agency. A few of those former Vols have earned their second NFL contracts or been rewarded with nice paydays.
There’s still some former Tennessee players who remain on the market as well and could change teams or land new deals in the coming days as the movement continues.
So far, linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin and defensive back Cameron Sutton have been given new deals to remain with the teams who drafted them, cornerback Emmanuel Moseley, an undrafted free agent, has been handsomely rewarded for making a name for himself with the 49ers and cornerback Justin Coleman, punter Michael Palardy and long snapper Morgan Cox are headed to new teams.
Among the former Vols still among the free agent pool are wide receiver/return specialist Cordarrelle Patterson, quarterback Joshua Dobbs and several other veterans.
