What will the Titans really do?
It is rare that you get to see a GM draft for 5+ years in the NFL, but Tennessee Titans GM Jon Robinson has done his job so well that he is one of the few that has earned that privilege.
When you get to see so many draft classes from a GM, you start to learn their tendencies and their preferences. Every year we get to see a little bit more of what Robinson wants to do when he enters the draft.
So, with that in mind, I wanted to take in all of the new information that we have and make a 3-round mock draft.
What new information? Well, not only do we have Pro Day numbers from nearly all of the top prospects, but we have seen which Pro Days Robinson and HC Mike Vrabel have attended and we are starting to hear about what the teams at the top of the draft are looking to do.
Think about where we were this time two weeks ago. The Titans hadn’t gone to a single Pro Day and no one knew whether the Dolphins were going to trade for Deshaun Watson or not. Now we basically know that the first three picks will be quarterbacks and there is a strong chance that five of the top eight picks are spent on signal-callers.
With all that change, here is what I assume the Titans are looking to do as of April 3rd, and it starts with a trade.
