Two weeks ago, former Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Buffalo Bills to serve as Josh Allen’s backup for one season before hitting free agency again.
Since then, rumors have emerged that the Denver Broncos were also interested in Trubisky, creating a narrative that the QB opted to play as a backup in Buffalo instead of competing with Drew Lock for a starting job.
KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis debunked those rumors on Tuesday.
