University of Houston guard Quentin Grimes plans to take a few days to discuss his future with family whether to return for another season or leave early for the NBA draft.

During Wednesday’s Final Four celebration at Fertitta Center, fans greeted Grimes with chants of “One more year!”

“I think everybody is waiting to see what I decide,” Grimes said. “That left a lasting imprint on me – how much they love me and how much they want me to come back for one more year.”

UH coach Kelvin Sampson was less optimistic about Grimes being back with the Cougars.

“We expect Quentin to be in the NBA next season,” Sampson said. “We want him to get drafted.”

Grimes is projected to be taken early in the second round, according to NBADraft.net.

During an All-American season, Grimes led the Cougars in scoring at 17.8 points and had a team-best 100 3-pointers.
