Russell Westbrook and 4 high-value NBA Daily Fantasy picks

The NBA fantasy landscape is still feeling the after-effects of Moses Brown parting the red sea to deliver those who picked him up last night to the promised land.

With a 10-game slate ahead, there are plenty of opportunities to repent with the help of these five value picks who are waiting to be inserted into your DFS lineup.

Russell Westbrook

Wizards, Russell Westbrook

The Washington Wizards will be up against one of the worst defensive teams in the league in the Sacramento Kings. Over the last seven games, the Kings own the NBA’s second-worst defensive rating. Their most capable defender at the guard position is a rookie in Tyrese Haliburton. All these will make Russell Westbrook‘s eyes light up as if he’s about to snatch a rebound from a teammate.

Their game figures to end up with the highest point total, as of this writing, among all contests tonight. Washington is also being penciled as a -3 on the spread. Westbrook will have a ridiculous volume of opportunities with the least resistance.

Kevin Porter Jr.

Rockets, Kevin Porter Jr., John Wall, Victor Oladipo, Stephen Silas

The Houston Rockets fleeced the Cleveland Cavaliers in terms of on-court production when they snagged Kevin Porter Jr. for a second-round pick that will hardly be conveyed to the Cavs—ever. After four games, Porter Jr. has been better than advertised with averages of 18.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.3 blocks.

KPJ has been green-lit to make plays as evidenced by his usage rate of 26.9 this season. John Wall will miss tonight’s game against the Golden State Warriors, while Victor Oladipo‘s presence hardly dents Porter Jr.’s production. The Rockets are going nowhere after losing 17 consecutive games. They will be best served by letting this youngster dominate the ball or risk a DNP-threw food.

Christian Wood remains questionable for tonight’s contest. He’s nearing a return that should give KPJ—a very capable playmaker—more mouths to feed.

Richaun Holmes

Richaun-Holmes-Kings

The Sacramento Kings center is fresh off a monster performance in their last game. Richaun Holmes did everything the Kings could ask for, even putting up excellent defensive numbers with two steals and four blocks. With Marvin Bagley III out due to a fractured left hand, Holmes’ value is as bright as ever with Hassan Whiteside and Nemanja Bjelica serving as the only competition for fantasy numbers.

The Kings have been bad defensively, but the Washington Wizards are no 2004 Detroit Pistons. In fact, they own the NBA’s 10th-worst defense over the last seven games. Furthermore, Alex Len and Robin Lopez stand as the Wizards’ best imitations of Ben Wallace and Rasheed Wallace.

Holmes is due for another feast day. There’s no reason for him to be out of fantasy lineups tonight and in the foreseeable future.

Robert Williams

Robert Williams, Celtics

CP

For all his shortcomings on the court, Robert Williams continues to hold potential as a tremendous value pick in NBA fantasy. Time Lord has given fantasy owners some frustrating stretches, but he has managed to raise his floor recently for the Boston Celtics.

Tristan Thompson‘s absence due to the league’s health and safety protocols only gives Williams more chances to have one of those why-the-heck-is-Brad-Stevens-limiting-his-minutes types of games. Daniel Theis‘ minutes have been spotty as of late, so there’s no real threat on that front. The presence of Jarrett Allen on the opposing end should be more favorable towards Williams if Stevens decides to not have his team obliterated inside the paint.

As it stands, Time Lord is Boston’s best hope inside the shaded area.

Tomas Satoransky

Tomas-Satoransky-Bulls

Billy Donovan is shaking things up in the Windy City, benefiting Tomas Satoransky the most in terms of opportunities. The Chicago Bulls made the bold move of shifting Coby White to the bench as they rolled the dice on the Czech playmaker.

Over the past two games, Satoransky holds averages of 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 block. The best part? The Bulls have won these contests, giving Donovan and Co. no logical reason to not field Sato less on the floor.

We’re just going to ignore Dejounte Murray and Derrick White‘s presence as their focus will most likely be trained on Zach LaVine. Regardless, the Bulls’ matchup against the San Antonio Spurs figures to be a high-scoring affair.
