NBA trade deadline results: Kyle Lowry stays with Raptors; Heat get Victor Oladipo; Nuggets land Aaron Gordon

The 2021 NBA trade deadline has passed and there were a flurry of deals made around the league that could change how the rest of the season shakes out. The biggest surprise of the day was Toronto Raptors star guard Kyle Lowry not getting dealt, after it was expected he would be traded to a contending team. While that domino never fell, though, that didn’t stop other teams from being active at the deadline.

Highlighting the deadline deals were the Heat trading for Houston guard Victor Oladipo right as the deadline passed, while the Orlando Magic shipped versatile big man Nikola Vucevic to the Chicago Bulls for Otto Porter Jr., Wendell Carter Jr. and two first-round picks. The Celtics got Evan Fournier to add some bench scoring, while Orlando completed its moves by shipping off Aaron Gordon to the Nuggets.
