With the NBA All-Star break officially coming to an end on Wednesday, we have two games on tap, with the Memphis Grizzlies taking on the Washington Wizards at 8 p.m. ET . It is a great time to give you some value plays for your DFS contest. Unlike NFL DFS, where one pick can make or break your lineup or it’s tough to find quality low-tier value.
In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays under $5K that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. It does not matter if you are playing a 50/50 or Double Up contest, we are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.
Despite there being only two games on the NBA slate, there’s a ton of great guard plays in DFS such as Luka Doncic, Russell Westbrook, Bradley Beal, Ja Morant, and Dejounte Murray. However, if you are looking for someone off the bench to put into your lineup, then look no further than Tim Hardaway Jr.
This season, Hardaway Jr. is averaging 16.4 points per game, along with shooting 43.8 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from three-point range. He’s also averaging 25.5 DKFP per game. In Dallas’s last five games, the veteran shooter is averaging 22.1 fantasy points per game. Out of those five contests, Hardaway failed to score 10 points or more only once (16.0 DKFP).
Davis Bertans, Washington Wizards, $4400
If you are looking for a low-risk, high-reward play in DFS, then Davis Bertans might be a solid option on Wednesday night. The Latvian Laser is only averaging 11.5 points game, but is still shooting 38.4 percent from three-point range (7.6 attempts per game).
When Washington played Memphis last week, Bertans had 11 points (3-6 FG, 2-5 3pt) and five rebounds for 17.8 fantasy points. It was the veteran forward’s fourth-straight game, where Bertans scored at least 15 DKFP or more. This season, Bertans is averaging 19.8 fantasy points per game.
The veteran guard and shooter has scored at least 10 points or more in eight-straight games, going back to February 9. Over that span of time, Mills has also produced 20.4 fantasy points per game.
This season, the 32-year-old is averaging 13.3 points per game, but shooting an efficient 44.8 percent from the field and 40.2 percent from behind the arc. At Mills’ salary, he’s a downright steal and is certainly worth plugging in at the guard or utility spot in your DFS lineup. On Wednesday night, he’ll be facing a Mavs team that ranks fifth against PG/SGs (OPRK).
