This is the final slate before we reach the All-Star break (thank God …) and there are nine games on the schedule (not so fast!). With the break, we may see an abnormal amount of injuries pop up, more than we already have so far. More value will open up as the day goes on but we’ll start you off with a few plays anyway.
That being said, it is a great time to give you some value plays for your DFS contest. Unlike NFL DFS, where one pick can make or break your lineup or it’s tough to find quality low-tier value.
In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays under $5K that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. It does not matter if you are playing a 50/50 or Double Up contest, we are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.
The Pelicans are on the second night of a back-to-back and could give some guys a bit of rest before the break. Even if that isn’t the case, Hart should see anywhere from 20-30 minutes in what should be a good matchup. The Miami Heat could be without both Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. Hart is a good tournament play who carries some risk. The price is low enough that Hart shouldn’t kill us tonight.
I’m going back to the Ibaka well on Thursday night’s slate with the Clips taking on the Washington Wizards, who lack size and depth in the frontcourt. The Clippers are also saying PF Marcus Morris (concussion) is doubtful. With Morris likely out, that opens up more rebounding opportunities for Ibaka, who should play 30+ minutes. Ibaka didn’t come through against the Celtics on Tuesday but this is an infinitely easier matchup.
Robert Williams, Boston Celtics ($4,600)
The Celtics are finally unleashing the Time Lord a bit. Williams has posted over 34 DKFP in two of his past three games despite not playing more than 22 minutes. He’s been incredibly efficient in two tough matchups vs. the Indiana Pacers and Clippers. The Toronto Raptors are missing Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby on the second of a back-to-back after losing to the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. Williams may not get a ton of minutes but he should make the best of what he gets.
