We’re back with some stacking options for Tuesday’s seven-game slate. We’re looking at all kinds of spots: the highest game total on the slate, a surprise spot for one team, and some value options on a team that could be up big after the first half.
Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the NBA game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can read more about the concept of stacking here, but the main goal is to take advantage of this plus-matchup and use the salary cap to your advantage.
Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the NBA slate on Tuesday, March 16th.
Damian Lillard ($10,800)
Zion Williamson ($8,700)
Enes Kanter ($7,200)
Steven Adams ($5,500)
This is a stack built around the fact that the Blazers and Pelicans each get destroyed in the paint. The Blazers in particular should have no answer for Zion down low. The Pelicans generally win the rebounding battle with a league-best differential of 6.4. Adams usually grabs the board and Zion cleans things up in the paint. Dame is in the stack as the high ceiling play but I wouldn’t mind paying down depending on what the deal is with CJ McCollum.
Jayson Tatum ($9,300)
Jaylen Brown ($7,900)
Kemba Walker ($7,100)
Mike Conley ($6,500)
The Jazz are regarded as one of the top defensive teams in the NBA. That hasn’t really been the case over the last week and before the All-Star break. Utah has allowed at least 129 points in three of the past four games; the one time the Jazz didn’t was against the Houston Rockets. This game should be competitive and the Celtics may not be as targeted as they should. Tatum is a bit overpriced but Brown and Walker feel like great mid-range plays. Conley gets a good individual matchup against Walker. This is also the second-highest point total on the slate at 228.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Houston Rockets, 8:00 p.m. ET
John Collins ($6,700)
Danilo Gallinari ($5,900)
Bogdan Bogdanovic ($4,000)
Tony Snell ($3,500)
You might notice that I’m excluding Trae Young ($10,200) from the initial stack. You can roll out Young but know that this game may be out of hand early and Trae could sit most of the second half. If he doesn’t, he could be one of the top plays. Collins’ value skyrockets if Clint Capela and Onyeka Okongwu are both sidelined. Gallo, Bogdanovic and Snell should get decent run regardless of the score. Solomon Hill ($3,200) also isn’t a bad value play if Cap and Okongwu are sidelined in a lopsided game.
