The Mavericks used the All-Star break to bring a couple more players back into the fold.
The team announced Saturday that it recalled two rookies, first-round pick Josh Green and second-round pick Tyler Bey, from the NBA G League.
The rookies’ G League averages:
Josh Green: 13.5 points (45.5 FG%), 4.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.2 steals in 29.7 minutes over 6 games.
Tyler Bey: 16.2 points (49.7 FG%), 9.7 rebounds and 28.6 minutes over 12 games. https://t.co/7nwUYrVgdq

Because the Mavericks’ G League affiliate, the Texas Legends, opted to not travel to the league’s bubble in Orlando, Green and Bey have been playing for the Salt Lake City Stars. Bey also played one game with the Long Island Nets.
Bey, the 36th overall pick out of Colorado in this year’s draft, has flourished in the G League. In 13 games, Bey averaged 15.1 points, 9.2 rebounds and shot 49.3% from the floor and 32.5% from 3-point range. Bey also recorded five double-doubles.
In six G-League games, Green averaged 13.5 points 4.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.2 steals.
The Mavericks still have two more rookies, second-round pick Tyrell Terry (Memphis Hustle) and undrafted rookie Nate Hinton (Santa Cruz Warriors) in the G League.
