In addition to a potential absence for Steph Curry after a nasty fall near the end of the Warriors’ win over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night, the Warriors will be without a pair of big men for the next week at least.
Rookie James Wiseman and second-year forward Eric Paschall both missed the Warriors’ 108-94 win in Houston, and coach Steve Kerr told reporters after the victory that both of the young players will be out at least a week.
Wiseman already was forced to miss 11 games in February after coming down with a sprained wrist. The 2020 No. 2 overall draft pick is averaging 11.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game for the Warriors in his first NBA season.
Paschall has seen his role reduced after being a first-team All-Rookie player in 2019-20, but is averaging 9.5 points and 3.2 rebounds on the year.

The Warriors weren’t clear on when Curry would return to the lineup after he bruised his tailbone on a scary fall late in the winning effort Wednesday.
A back-to-back in Memphis against Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday and Saturday awaits the Warriors next on the schedule, and with a Tuesday matchup after that against the Philadelphia 76ers, the earliest we could see Wiseman and Paschall back on the floor would be next Thursday, when the Warriors take on the Kings in Sacramento.
Hopefully all goes according to plan with the duo in the health and safety protocols, and the Warriors can get their young frontcourt reserves back on the court sooner rather than later.
