How former Florida Gators fared in Week 13 of NBA action

This week was a bit sparse in the National Basketball Association when it comes to playing time for former Florida Gators, and with the spotlight on college basketball’s March Madness the pro league has taken a bit of a backseat these last several days.

Big Dance or no, UF alumni just did not get onto the court much, as the Washington Wizards’ Bradley Beal once again led the way averaging 36 points in his two games — including a 43-point outburst on Thursday. He still holds the league lead for points per game, though the Portland Trailblazers’ Damian Lilliard has narrowed the gap scoring 30.3 ppg against Beal’s 32.1.

After that, the pickings are pretty slim.

Both the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Al Horford and the Dallas Mavericks’ Dorian Finney-Smith played in one game this past week while sitting out two, with the former chipping in 11 points in his lone appearance while the latter dropped 13 in his limited time on the parquet.

The other two active players — New Jersey Nets’ Chris Chiozza and Miami Heats’ Udonis Haslem — failed to earn playing time, though Haslem is at this point a de facto bench coach earning an NBA salary. Hopefully, Chiozza can find a way to crack the Nets’ rotation, though it is not optimistic at this point.

Here’s a look at how the former Florida Gators fared in week 13 of NBA action, including the NBA’s scoring leader Bradley Beal.
