NBA Snake Rank: 4
Jokic was unstoppable last night vs. the Magic, posting 71.75 DKFP in the win. He tallied his third triple-double in his last four starts, and is now contributing 63.4 DKFP over his last ten. Jokic is currently the favorite to win the league MVP (-110) on DraftKings Sportsbook, and he should add another impressive outing to his campaign tonight against a Raptors team that is shambles right now.
After making it all the way to game seven of the Eastern Conference Semifinals this past summer, Toronto has dropped nine in a row, mostly due to their terrible defense, which has rated as the second worst unit in basketball during this losing streak. Jokic has generated 60.3 DKFP on the second leg of back-to-backs this year, and he should have a field day against this deteriorating Raptors club.
NBA Snake Rank: 13
Young has been very up and down, but tonight’s matchup vs. the Kings is a perfect spot for the guard to find his ceiling. This Sacramento defense is the worst group in the NBA based on efficiency and this matchup sports a 236.5 O/U game total on DraftKings Sportsbook. Whenever Young has suited up for a total of 230 points or higher this season, he has supplied 50.4 DKFP per game.
Regardless of his inconsistent game log, Young is an excellent choice for snake drafts tonight and getting him outside the top-ten would be a steal.
NBA Snake Rank: 15
LaVine is a stud, but tonight’s matchup vs. the Cavs is far from optimal. Cleveland plays at the tenth slowest pace this season and in their last ten, they are a top-three defense in terms of least DKFP allowed to opposing shooting guards.
This Central Division matchup carries one of the lower totals of this slate (217.5 O/U on DraftKings Sportsbook), and with the Bulls essentially at full strength, there is a strong probability of LaVine underachieving relative to his high pre-draft ranking.
NBA Snake Rank: 21
With Sunday being his second game in two nights, the Rockets unsurprisingly decided to limit Wood’s minutes in only his fourth start back from the ankle injury that sidelined him for 17 games. In the win over Toronto, the 25-year-old finished with a modest 26.5 DKFP across 28 minutes, but in the prior two, we saw the center look like the dominant player from the beginning of the season, producing 44 DKFP with 32 minutes per game. With no contest last night or tomorrow, Wood shouldn’t carry a minutes restriction Wednesday, and this is a prime spot for him against the Hornets. Since the All-Star break, Charlotte ranks 21st in defensive rating and they have yielded the 7th most points in the paint per game.
Wood is collecting 45.6 DKFP per game this season when given a minimum of 30 minutes, and anything less than 40 DKFP would be a disappointment tonight.
NBA Snake Rank: 47
In their first game without promising rookie LaMelo Ball (wrist), Rozier seized the opportunity, scoring 44.25 DKFP in Monday’s 100-97 victory over the Spurs. The combo guard got all the way up to 39 minutes and he received a 26% usage rate, which are notable jumps from the 33 minutes per game and 23.9% usage rate Rozier is averaging for the season. Wednesday night calls for another tight affair, with the Hornets only 3.5-point road favorites vs. the Rockets on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Rozier should approach 40 minutes again and this is currently the top fantasy matchup for a point guard, with Houston giving up the most DKFP per game to opposing point guards over their last ten by a wide margin. Rozier should thrive in this appetizing spot and his pre-draft rank is far too low for his upside.
NBA Snake Rank: 63
Rubio has been stellar, amassing 42.25 DKFP per game in his last pair, and the main reason has been the lift in playing time. In both of these competitive tilts, the savvy guard has surpassed 30 minutes, and Rubio is now producing 34.75 DKFP per game whenever he has exceeded the 30 minutes mark this year.
With Rubio playing well, rookie Anthony Edwards surging and Karl-Anthony Towns rounding into form under new Head Coach Chris Finch, the Wolves have been contending for wins recently, and if they can keep tonight’s date with the Mavs close (DAL -8 on DraftKings Sportsbook), Rubio should fill the stat sheet up in over 30 minutes of work. This will be the second time in 2020-21 that Minnesota has gone head-to-head with Dallas, and in the first meeting, Rubio recorded 33 DKFP.
