SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell became the second-fastest player in NBA history to make 700 career three-pointers, according to Jazz TV.
Mitchell reached the mark during the first half of Utah’s game against the Chicago Bulls.
The Jazz hosted the Bulls at Vivint Arena on Friday, April 2.
With 2:43 remaining in the second quarter, Mitchell connected on a 25-foot triple. The shot was the NBA All-Star’s 700th career three-pointer.
Mitchell is the second-quickest NBA player to reach the mark.
Sacramento Kings guard Buddy Hield hit his 700th career triple in his 269th contest.
Mitchell connected on his 700th shot from beyond the arc in his 270th game.
The triple helped the Jazz closed the first half on a 20-6 run over the final five minutes of the second quarter.
Mitchell and the Jazz took a 58-49 lead in the locker room at halftime.
At the break, Mitchell had 11 points on 3-9 shooting, including 1-4 from distance. In addition to his scoring, Mitchell had two rebounds and three assists, He posted a plus-eight rating in 17 minutes on the court.
