CBS Sports releases latest NBA mock draft

The 2021 NBA Draft has taken center stage for many NCAA prospects. With the exciting conclusion of the NCAA Tournament, it is time to crank up the temperature ahead of the annual NBA event.

Several NBA scouts have studied the list of eligible draft prospects for some time. Players like Oklahoma State star Cade Cunningham and Gonzaga standout Jalen Suggs have passed the proverbial “eye test” among NBA evaluators.

Others like Baylor’s Davion Mitchell, UCLA’s Johnny Juzang, LSU star Cameron Thomas and Florida Gators point guard Tre Mann have caused NBA scouts to go back and review the tape. The quartet was dynamic in the NCAA Tournament and vastly improved their draft stock in short order.

The 2021 class is deep at several positions. If NBA teams are looking for scoring and playmaking, there are many eligible prospects that can fit the bill. If defense and switchability are your cup of tea, players like Scottie Barnes and Jonathan Kuminga might be worth taking a look for next season.

As the NBA season reaches a conclusion, there will be more clarity on the potential NBA Draft order. For now, it is all about projections and where the top prospects could land regardless of team needs.

CBS Sports writer Kyle Boone has done a great job at forecasting where the top prospects will wind up next season. We at 247Sports have provided analysis of his latest NBA mock draft heading into the college basketball offseason.

Here is what Boone believes will happen with the top NBA prospects as we near the beginning of what looks like a busy pre-draft process.
