Martin Truex Jr. is the latest NASCAR Cup Series driver to enter the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway. The Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt is set for March 27 (8 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
“Damn, they spilled the beans?” Truex said. “OK, yeah. We are. We’re going to run the Truck race.”

The No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota wheelman confirmed his plans Sunday night during a post-race Zoom. Truex had just won the Instacart 500 at Phoenix Raceway — his first career win at the 1-mile track.
Truex will drive for teammate Kyle Busch’s team — Kyle Busch Motorsports — which supports three Toyotas.
“I’ll run Kyle’s truck,” Truex said. “He said I can drive it for free, so I did it.”
The appearance — his first in Camping World Trucks since 2006 — will provide prep time for NASCAR Cup Series‘ March 28 main event, the first for the circuit on dirt since 1970.
