NASCAR may have a new most bizarre race name

upcoming Xfinity Series race at Phoenix Raceway, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow evening, is called the Call 811 Before You Dig 200, and we can’t wait to see the trophy.

Of course, this race name isn’t littered with periods like the Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner. 300, but it’s arguably just as crazy of a name for a NASCAR race. Joe Gibbs Racing’s Brandon Jones is the reigning winner of this 200-lap race around the four-turn, 1.022-mile (1.645-kilometer) Phoenix Raceway oval in Avondale, Arizona, back when it was called the LS Tractor 200 last March in what was the final Xfinity Series race before the unexpected 10-week hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The Call 811 Before You Dig 200 is set to be broadcast live from Phoenix Raceway on Fox Sports 1 beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET tomorrow evening.
