HRC’s Test Rider is getting some crucial track time with the 2022 bike ahead of the MotoGP™ Malaysia Test
There’s little over a week until the first MotoGP™ Test of the season in Malaysia, and HRC are working hard to ensure they’ll have every available resource raring and ready to go in Sepang. While the likes of Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro (Repsol Honda Team) have to wait for some action, Stefan Bradl is already getting some track time.
The Honda Test Rider has joined the World Superbike Test in Jerez, riding the RC213V as the Japanese manufacturer hope to eke out some further information that could prove pivotal in their testing plans next week. Bradl has spent two days in the south of Spain, with the WorldSBK Test set to conclude on Thursday, and the German will then jet off to Malaysia where he is expected to take part in the MotoGP™ Shakedown Test, which kicks off on Monday, January 31st.
The Test proper will then get underway on Saturday, February 5th, and that will offer fans a look at Honda’s four full-time riders, plus Bradl, in action on the 2022-spec machine. It is a crucial couple of days in Asia for HRC, with initial reports on the new bike positive, but it remains to be seen whether it is good enough to see them compete regularly at the top once again.
